ALL DOGS DESERVE A HOME WHERE THEY CAN BE THE BEST THEY CAN BE.
NOT EVERY SLED DOG IS SUITED TO BE A RACE DOG.
Some would prefer to be a companion, or a recreational runner; older dogs may like the couch. At our kennel we deal with all sorts of sled dogs. We take in dogs from shelters and other kennels --- who can't quite make the team. We deal with dogs that are poorly socialized or just need that extra bit of care. Some just have no home and no place to go....
These unwanted dogs come here to be rehabilitated. Some are here for a few weeks, others may spend a year are more. Re-training techniques can be a unique process for every dog. The keys are time and patience. There are no magic tricks.

Approximately 5 years of age. Personable, friendly. He is an excellent pulling dog. Strong and motivated. He came with his brother; Rex. They must go out together as they are very attached to each other. Both will run up front, but are not true leaders. Napolean is not fond of jets overhead and they make him nervous. He can run 100 miles, but in our view he is not suited for a true long distance team.
Brother of Napolean. He is of similar size and temperament as his brother, Napolean. Possibly less focused when he is upfront. Great in swing. Both brothers are in the 50-55# range.
