SLED DOGS FOR ADOPTION |
We have dogs for adoption and
dog for sale.
Permanent homes are our goal. These dogs are available now.
They are trained as sled dogs and ready to go, though some may
have special needs. Dogs come with all shots and are spayed
or neutered. It is our goal to place each dog in a setting where
they can achieve their fullest potential, thus providing the
most satisfaction for the new person in their life. Adoption
fees are $ 250.
Adoptions
Penny:
Penny has been at Crazy Dog Kennels for three years. She is
a 40# four year old husky with one blue eye and one brown. Penny
came from the Fairbanks Shelter. She runs inconsistently as
a sled dog, she runs best in lead or without a neckline. We
feel that she could do well in a home-type setting. She is timid,
but friendly and approachable. She can be loose in a dog-yard
setting. This is a special needs dog. Penny is a very nice dog
that will continue to need love and consistency in her life.
Stone:
Stone is a 60# seven year old, white, neutered male. He pulls
well in team though is not a good ski-jour candidate at this
time. He is friendly and is good in the house or loose in dog-yard
setting. Can be a little standoffish with strangers.
Stoney:
Stoney is a 50# white and black neutered male from the Fairbanks
Shelter. He is approximately 3 years old. He is confident and
very friendly. He is very good on the sled anywhere in team.
He has run up-front on occasion and performed well. He has tons
of potential---still needs extensive conditioning and training.
He chews lines, esp. on shorter runs.
Gabby:
55#, 8 year old, white, neutered male. Unknown lines. Very friendly,
leads well with friendly female leaders, takes commands. Gabby
has raced Sheep Mountain, La Grande Odyssee in France, Quest and
others. He is a solid dog in very good health and physical shape.
He has been in our yard for four years. Good when loose and comes
when called. Gabby would make a nice addition to a recreational
team. A good working home is our focus for Gabby.
Dogs for sale
Bronte:
50# Black, 3-year old spayed female. Unknown lines. $ 500.00
This is a race quality dog. Well trained and tireless, she would
be a great addition to any team. Bronte has had lots of training
in 2006-07. Has done 9-11 hour runs. Good when loose in the
yard comes when called but can be standoffish when tethered.
